American

One of the key distinctions between English and American Pale Ales is the types of hops used for bittering and aroma. While Old World Pale Ale relies on such English stalwarts as East Kent Goldings and Fuggles, New World Pale Ale rely on Pacific Northwest hops. The American Pale Ale is a popular take- off platform for experimentation in malt and hops flavours as well as alcoholic strength. Frequently, it is also the basis for seasonal specials, including spiced ales and fruit ales.
